In summary, the setting is similar to The Divine Comedy, in that it starts in The Material World, the world as we know it aound the year 2000, and they travel through the various layers of Hell and Heaven.

In this world, Hell is as one might expect- a desolate wasteland, the realm of spirits and demons, though it is inspired by a mix of religions- Enra-o is the overseer of souls, while Uriel resides near Yggdrasil, where he executes the unworthy and throws their souls into the lower layers of Hell. In this same limbo-like level of Hell flows the river Lethe, which consumes the memories of any unlucky enough to fall in. The lower layers are ruled by the Satans, representing the seven deadly sins, and those Satans are ruled by Lucifer in a 'Might Makes Right' style, in which they are constantly competing with each other for more power.

Heaven, on the other hand, is less of the paradise you would expect and more of an Enforced Utopia. The lower levels are slums, where imperfect or illegal angels barely scrape by, forced into the lower Heavens by the 'proper angels'. Any angels that are anything less than beautiful, sinless, and perfectly formed flee there to hide, and if any are found to be guilty, the punishment is usually death.

The upper levels are not as perfect or devoid of sin as the higher ups would like you to think it is. Corruption runs rampant, and many angels use their positions to literally or figuratively get away with murder. The plot of the canon is the war raging between Hell, Evils(beings descended from demons), Rebel Angels, and the Loyal Angels

» INFLUENTIAL EVENTS:

Fall From Heaven
After being promoted to Morning Star, Lucifel spoke to God, and God revealed to him that he was born with only one purpose- to fall from grace, and become the lord of darkness. Having spent his life working so hard to become the prevalent person that he was, this angered Lucifel. Out of spite, he decided that he would be exactly what he was meant to be, attempting to lead a rebellion against God after breaking into Eden and meeting Alexiel, God's "Beloved Daughter", with the intent to harm her in order to anger God. Instead, he falls in love with her, seeing how she loved all things with such a strong passion, and he kisses her and goes off to stage his rebellion. Failing to oust God, Lucifel falls with his followers to Hell, changing his name to Lucifer as the light fades from his soul. He had once been a proud, cold, and efficient angel, and was now freed from the shackles of Heaven's politics.

Second Rebellion
After getting to Hell, Lucifer found that it was a barren wasteland, completely inhabitable. For his own good and so that he could continue to spite God, Lucifer merged his body with the land of Hell itself, using his immense Astral Power to allow Hell to sustain life. He doesn't stay there infinitely however, and eventually he returns to Eden to find the woman he fell in love with, and helps her to break free from the prison-like Eden she had been trapped in. Alexiel then stages a second rebellion, and as a punishment for helping her, God seals Lucifer's soul into the Nanatsuya, the Seven-Pronged Sword made of 'the fifth element', Creation. He is imprisoned in the sword for so long that he forgets everything about himself, and Alexiel eventually finds the sword, using the fact that she knows his identity to force him to cooperate with her, which he does with MUCH chagrin. At the end of her rebellion, Alexiel is trapped in an Angel Crystal, which makes her body dormant but forces her soul to go through endless human reincarnations, all of which are cursed to live short, terrible lives, and die violently, which the spirit of the sword follows her throughout, hoping to find out his identity.

Possession of Sakuya Kira
During one of her incarnations, Alexiel was a prostitute, and Lucifer possesses the body of a samurai that loved her and died protecting her, making a deal that he would then kill her mercifully before she could be captured and sold once more. He makes love to her before granting that final request, breaking the curse by granting her a merciful death. Some time later while he followed Alexiel's soul still, he came across a young boy who had been in a car crash with his mother, the two of them had both died, but Lucifer made a deal with the boy, asking him what he'd want to do if he had kept on living. The boy answers that he'd like to read more, and that he wished his father would not have to be sad losing the both of them, and asks that Lucifer make his father hate him so that he would not be sad when he dies.

Agreeing, Lucifer possesses the boy's body and heals him enough for him to survive. He spends his time in the body of Sakuya Kira doing his best to fulfill his end of the bargain, joining a gang, smoking, drinking, and sleeping around and being generally unpleasant to his father. It doesn't work, and Lucifer can't help but be softened by the unconditional love of his 'father', and he begins to experience emotions and sensations that he was unable to or unused to as a sword or as the Devil, even expending energy to save the life of a friend who abused substances regularly. He learns to accept and understand love and friendship, becoming attached to his human persona.

Return to Heaven
Setsuna is awoken as the angel Alexiel when his sister dies protecting him, and he goes to Hell to retrieve her soul. 'Kira' follows along, of course, and is eventually slain, disappearing as others find out that he was once the Lord of Hell.

Using the soul stone that had once been what held his soul, Rociel brings Lucifer back to life AS Lucifer, restoring to him his memories and then 'controlling him' as he attempted to get to the highest point in Heaven to re-awaken God. During this time, Lucifer is in control of his actions, but uses Rociel in order to get close to God in order to kill him. He succeeds in killing a manifestation of God, revealing that he was not under Rociel's control and that he would help Setsuna to kill the corrupt God in order to allow them to live in a world free from His tyranny.

After the deed is done, Lucifer watches over the man who had been his father for about a decade, guiding his real son's soul back to him to say goodbye. This leaves Lucifer wishing that he could have been Sakuya Kira a little longer, missing the camaraderie of humanity.

» FIT:
Despite his outer appearance as a disillusioned youth, Kira is Lucifer, and thus native to Hell and it's horrors. In his human life, he also had the blood of an angel spilled upon him which allowed him to heal and resurrect himself upon being killed, so that will be a... familiar experience for him. Coming to this new world would be nice for him as well, as he could pretend to be A Normal Teen again for a little while, all while he is not easily phased by strange situations. Space will be very new though! Something for him to explore that he never has before.

» POWERS:
Limited Healing
Lucifer can heal non-fatal injuries himself, with the caveat that more serious injuries take longer to heal(broken bones and the like takin up to two weeks), he cannot regrow lost limbs, and he cannot heal any injury to his wings.
Astral Powers
As long as his wings are not injured, Lucifer can manipulate elements to use magic, the elements being Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire. He can use this to create shields or projectiles, as well as create small 'protection' charms.
Shiranui
Lucifer has a katana called Shiranui soulbound to him which he can summon with his blood. Requires him to have direct access to his blood(an open wound).
Strength, Speed, Resilience
Of course, being the Devil means you're physically stronger than most people. It's hard to injure him both because he's a good fighter and because he's just tough. It takes being nearly crushed by a stone pillar as thick as his torso to slow him down when he kills a projection of God, and he bounces back before too long. He easily and quickly dispatches dozens of angels single-handedly without resorting to magic or a sword.

» NOTES:
I would like it if he could use his human form as a sort of 'glamour', despite not being able to access it in canon, if only because he is more likely to create and maintain relationships with other people if he is masquerading as Sakuya Kira rather than walking around as Lucifer.
Also, all of Lucifer's abilities aside from his physical strength/speed/resilience are linked DIRECTLY to his wings. He can hide his wings or manifest them at will, but must manifest them to tap into his magic, and if they are injured he will lose the ability to 'balance' the elements in his body. If he attempts to use magic with an injured wing(or after having lost one or more), he will sustain injuries of a severity depending on the strength of the magic, up to and including being able to kill himself through the use of magic.
In addition, if he loses a wing, they will all eventually fall off, at which point Lucifer will become a Ghoul. A Ghoul is an angel that has lost it's wings and sanity and is in constant pain, the only thing that makes the pain subside momentarily is devouring flesh, and so they become mindless beasts that will attack anything that moves in an attempt to eat it.
This is a permanent change in canon, but for the purpose of playability, I'd prefer it if it lasted only until he either dies, or a max of two weeks, at which point his wings would grow back and make him susceptible to the change again.

[Kira rubbed at his eyes, frowning. This was not a terrible situation, all things considered but also he was so tired already.]

This is like some kind of prison. No windows, shitty food, ugly ass uniforms... [Overalls. He had pulled the top off of his shoulders, letting it bunch up at his hips because there had to be SOME way to wear it and look not terrible. Problem is, he didn't have a belt so if he wanted to WALK he had to wear it properly. He makes an annoyed face at that thought.]

There's even a gym. I guess they don't think they need guards or anything though, since we're all up in space or whatever. Though I guess the bar is new. Never heard of prisoners getting access to alcohol.

So, what did you all do to get thrown in here, anyway? You're all a bunch of bad boys and bad girls, I'm sure.
