It's not awful at all. Even those who created you, even He who created them... they're not flawless, as much as they'd like you to believe it.
Humans can be wicked, just as much as they can be kind, forgiving, and loving. They can make you angry, or sad, or happy, or afraid. They do so to each other all of the time, so it's not hard to believe they'd eventually do so to their androids.
[It is sad, but true. No one was perfect, and no one really lived up to the 'hype', right?]
Yeah, of course it's okay to exist. To just exist. Doing inconsequential things is part of the point of life, I think. Be your own purpose.
Otherwise, you are just living life from one mission to another, with nothing but static in between, and then you will conflate your worth with how much you contribute, rather than just seeing the worth in life itself.
Life is a precious gift, Yuki. And there are so many things that went into making your life for you, the odds of you existing is just so ASTRONOMICALLY LOW, that you in and of yourself, are a miracle. Androids in general, and just you. To have developed and learned and become who you are, in the situation you are in.
I still awful for it. This anger... I don't want it. I think she feels bad too, and I know I made her feel that way. But she...
I don't know. It's so damn frustrating.
[There's a lot he still needs to think about. A lot he needs to unpack, but 9S is listening. He's asking questions, and he's taking these answers to heart.
What is his purpose? No, he knows that. The question is what does he want to be his purpose?
If he even has a right to choose. Crow sure seems to think so.]
I've never thought of myself as all that special. But thank you, Crow.
Hey, did you wanna maybe stop by and see me? I think it might be good for ya! We could find something to do, I'm sure.
[Maybe he'll ask about what happened later. Right now he thinks Yuki just needs some time to chill. Not necessarily drug-induced this time, just. Kinda needs a time to hang out and not think such heavy stuff.]
[9S has wound up on the same train of thought. It would be nice to just not think for a little while.
They live only a few doors apart, so the only reason is takes 9S more than a minute to get there is his own lethargy He might feel better after their chat, but there was still a lot weighing him down.
[Kira opens the door quickly enough, having expected Yuki over of course. He gives him a wide grin, as if he was trying to pull together more happiness to help radiate it in Yuki's direction. He was coming to an awakening, and really, Kira couldn't be prouder.]
Hey Yuki! Sorry I don't have a lot to do in here yet. Maybe I can make a hacky sack sometime and figure that out.
[He does start this by placing a hand on his shoulder as he guides Yuki into his room. It's not a HUGE mess, considering Kira doesn't have many articles of clothing yet, but the things he's not wearing(pretty much a jumpsuit and his jacket) have been haphazardly thrown on the floor.]
[Kira smiles at the question a little wider. It was nice to at least get Yuki smiling too.]
A hacky sack is just like. A little ball, but it's filled with beans, and people would like... [And he kind of mimes using a hacky sack here, throwing the invisible ball up in the air and kicking it a couple times.]
Like you do that and see how long you can keep it in the air without grabbing it.
I mean, I guess but also like. You can do things just for fun, too, you know?
[Kira sighs a little, going to take a seat on his bed.]
Like a video game. Or... talking? Or whatever? Like I said, stuff doesn't always have to have a purpose. I know I certainly don't have a purpose with most of the stuff I do.
[Kira wrapped an arm around Yuki then, smiling and giving a somewhat jovial laugh.]
I like doing inconsequential things with you too, Yuki! I'd say we should do a few right now, but I can't come up with anything if I don't have anything to make a game of. WE don't even have a ball for like. Catch or anything.
[He liked reading! Though he's never actually gotten to read a whole book before. Not physically, anyway. It was always just archival data, bits and pieces...
He lets out a sigh, shifting against the bed a moment before he leans shoulder against Crow's.]
I'm not supposed to... But I think I've gotten pretty good at it for a Scanner model.

What's a hacky sack...?
[9S lets himself be guided in, his eyes glancing over the clothes strewn about the room. Nothing out of the ordinary.]

...Why? Does something happen if you let it hit the ground?
no subject
Nah, the game just ends. Well I mean I guess you could pass it off to the next person and you could see who can do it the longest.

[He just looks perplexed.]

[Boy.]
...Hand-eye coordination?

[His enthusiasm is still heavily muted, but at least the words that come out sound like his usual self.]
We androids don't need to worry about things like that, as long as we're properly calibrated...

This space station totally sucks.
no subject
Sorry, I don't have any ideas either. But you're right about one thing--this place does suck.

[Kira slings an arm around Yuki's waist, holding him against him a little. Still loose, but enough to be holding.]
Unless you do swordfighting.
[Kira laughs because it's a joke. He doesn't have any idea that Yuki has a sword alright.]

[It had been a joke???? Kira a-actually gives Yuki an incredulous look at that, before smiling smugly.]
Bet I could still beat you. [Not that he was leaping to his feet to find out, honestly. It was mostly teasing.]
no subject
Haha. [That smug smile is kind of endearing.] Probably. Fighting's not really my forte.
no subject
We'll have to find out sometime! Maybe if we get our hands on some practice swords or something. So we don't accidentally hurt each other.
no subject
[He knocks on his chest, though for all intents and purposes it doesn't sound much different from a human's.]
If you really want to, I bet I can find something.
