The coffin arrived here, I chose nothing. [no alucard absolutely chose this]

Absolutely not. [absolutely half the time he does that]

[He's gonna just give Alucard a skeptical look at that. Yeah ok buddy. You just have to sleep in it now that it's here.]

Oh my goooodddd.

[He laughs a little as he gets out of the coffin, just going to grab a bottle, twisting the top off.]

Anyway. [He takes a drink, then taking a seat again on the bed.] Tell me. What's got you on edge? What's up with this request?

[listen here you little shit]

Hmph.

[Alucard sits on the edge of the coffin, crossing his legs and folding his arms, and definitely looking vampiric. Whoops.]

...It has been a difficult time.

[Vaguely spoken. Alucard clicks his tongue as he considers, then exhales. If he's absolutely honest with himself, Venus and Kira are probably the closest friends he has. He'd already considered that idea when Kira had mentioned it, but Venus is an understandable choice but he doesn't feel like he could unload on her. She is so bright, and he would not want to diminish that brilliance.

Kira, on the other hand. He is here for a very different brand of friendship.]

I am tired of people. I know what to expect from humans, and yet they manage to disappoint me anyway.

And I have pushed myself too far helping to fix the gravity. It was incredibly painful. I cannot do much but sleep and drink blood at the moment, and the latter is in short supply, save from you and one other.

Asking openly has proven to be a poor choice, but I was desperate.

[Kira nods at the sentiment, still busying himself with drinking. He was very fond of humans and humanity, but he can understand. Of course he can understand such a thing.]

Yeah. I mean... No matter how you slice it, people are going to be wary of someone that's meant to survive in a way that can kill them. [And who could blame them? Imagine meeting someone who claims to eat your species in particular, and has the power to overwhelm you easily. It is as if a mouse is being introduced to a cat.]

Humans are... flawed. Selfish. A little pushy, don't you think? Heh heh. Well, you got me. I'm always willing to give you however much you need. [Kira takes another drink. There wasn't really any advice he could offer here.]

But you know? I think you made the right choice to be open about what you need.

...Is someone hassling you?

I am aware of how it can come across. It doesn't make it any less irritating to deal with. Prey and predator co-existing is not typical.

[After everything that's happened, from Wallachia to here--]

Individuals who do not trust me due to what I am, or others who are angry that I drank from their friend even though he had volunteered.

No one has attacked me. It is tolerable, simply tiring.

[Kira nods at that too. Yeah, that makes sense too. Annoying, kinda tiring.]

Let me know if anyone gets too aggressive. WE might not do leaders or laws here but that don't mean people get a free pass to be shitty to someone just tryin' to survive. I ain't about that shit.

[It's not like any of them WANT to be here.]

This will be a better conversation after you're drunk, I think.

[How odd, but it's almost kind of him to say that. To tell him if anyone gets that way. Alucard isn't certain that he would say it, but the vocal confirmation he isn't alone is comforting.]

I will remember that. [His voice is a bit softer.] Thank you.

[The last statement makes him snort.] At least more amusing for you. But I accept that.

[Kira gives Alucard a smile at that, continuing to drink through his little grin. Were they having a moment? They were having a moment. Cute~]

Nah, think about it. We can talk about beating people up without thinking about the moral repercussions, and without actually thinking we'll do it. Just yell and get rowdy, let our anger out and then just collapse when we get tired.

[Kira laughs a little at that, taking another swig. He had to get drunk quick in order to let Alucard take a drink, so! No time to waste.]

[He smiles wryly at Kira. Ultimately, he is grateful that Kira is helping him.]

I suppose we'll see.

Let me know when you're ready.

[Kira can only reply to Alucard's suggestion with a grin, hidden once more by a bottle. He does hope to see him rowdy! That'd be fun. He just starts nodding at that, going and chugging some more.]

Yeah, whenever you want. C'mon.

[Alucard slides down off of the coffin slowly, and he approaches Kira. There's a pause, then he reaches out cup Kira's jawline.]

Thank you.

[After leaning in, Alucard sinks his fangs into Kira's neck, tasting the familiar flavor of brimstone reaching his mouth.]

[It's becoming a really familiar sensation now, having his blood drained. It certainly doesn't bother him anymore, if it ever did, and so he just sits there casually, allowing Alucard to take what he wants.]

Y'know, I wonder if you'd get high if I smoked. Probably, right?

[It went into his bloodstream after all, didn't it?]

[The question causes Alucard to pull away a moment. He swallows, licking his lips a moment before raising a brow.]

I suppose. You know that your herbs would be medicinally useful rather than just recreational?

[Kira laughs at that. What a funny joke!]

Of course I know, but ain't no one paying me enough to not get high in this dump.

[He never claimed to be selfless. And there were some things a guy just had to have.]

[Alucard sighs and lightly pinches Kira's ear, a gesture that's borderline affectionate.]

Then I'd like to ask that you part some to me. If you need an exchange for it, then it will be done.

I would not ask for all, of course. Even a little can help.

[Kira huffs like a petulant child when Alucard pinches his ear.]

Mmmmmmmm...Fine. But I haven't thought of what I'm gonna charge for it yet [Since money is useless] so you're gonna owe me one.

[And he never would have given it all to him. Certainly not for medicinal use.]

A favor, then.

[Which could be really shitty from Kira, but at least it won't be anything dangerous. Probably.]

Mm. I can live with that. I accept your terms.

[Alucard leans in, biting Kira's neck on the other side for a bit more to drink.]

[He hasn't decided the favor yet, but he isn't gonna cash it in until he knows it's something 1. he can't get from Alucard normally, but 2. he would not be able to refuse if Kira pulled out the 'you owe me one' card.]

Ahhh. Cool.

[He can't even be sassy with Alucard biting him. No matter how normal it was getting to be.]

[Eventually, he breaks away again, apparently satisfied. Alucard sighs and wipes his thumb over the bite, chasing away dots of blood. He definitely licks his thumb without another thought.]

I'm not normally one for vices, but... well, I suppose I've already explained, and you of all people enjoy what you do.

[He doesn't sound judgmental.]

[Kira just runs a hand through his hair as he sucks in a breath, letting it out slowly.]

Yeah man, you don't have to explain yourself to me. Don't worry about it. I'm just glad to help you, man.

[He waved a hand at that, certainly not making it out as if this were a favor for Alucard. Nah, it was more like... hanging out with your buddy and drinking together. Except your buddy needs to drink your blood to drink with you.]

[That does make him smile a little. Not unlike before, Alucard is still a bit of a lightweight.]

You are much kinder than you make yourself out to be.

[He finally sits down on the bed next to Kira, getting comfortable.]

Your secret's safe with me.

[Kira snorts at that, shaking his head. He certainly didn't feel any kinder.]

Nah, I'm just lonely. It's kinda nice to have someone to chill with, even if you're waaay more straightedge than I'm used to.

[Alucard hums a moment, reaching up and tracing his finger over Kira's ear.]

Are you lonely? [He sounds a little surprised to hear that.]

Yeah, why wouldn't I be?

[He furrows his brows a little in something like confusion. He guessed he did kind of give off that vibe like he's an island, not needing anyone.]

I guess I'd be lonely at home too, but. It just feels so much worse out here, so far from Earth that I can't even see it.

I don't know how I feel about being here.

[Alucard shrugs and leans a little against Kira.]

But I don't mind you. I know I'm not very fun, though.
